Unlike inpatient or residential treatment, outpatient care allows you to receive therapy, medical support, and group treatment during the day, while returning home or to sober housing in the evening.

Outpatient care is ideal for:

• Individuals stepping down from detox or inpatient rehab

• Those who need structured care without overnight stays

• People managing addiction alongside work or family life

• Clients seeking ongoing support after relapse or crisis

At Amity Palm Beach, our outpatient services include two levels of care:

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

PHP is our most intensive outpatient option — often referred to as “day treatment.”

PHP Includes:

• 5–6 hours per day, 5 days a week

• Individual therapy, group counseling, and psychiatric care

• Medication-Assisted Treatment (if applicable)

• Trauma-informed approaches (CBT, DBT, mindfulness, etc.)

• Relapse prevention and coping skills

• Family involvement and discharge planning

PHP is ideal for clients who need full-day clinical support but have a safe, stable home environment or access to transitional housing.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

IOP offers a more flexible schedule while still maintaining strong therapeutic engagement. It’s a great fit for those stepping down from PHP or looking to begin treatment with moderate structure.

IOP Includes:

• 3–4 group sessions per week + individual therapy

• Customized treatment plans and recovery goals

• Dual diagnosis support (addiction + mental health)

• Weekly progress check-ins with your care team

IOP empowers clients to practice their recovery tools in real time — at home, at work, and in relationships — while staying connected to ongoing support.
