Michael Clark | President & Co-Founder
Michael oversees a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering forward-thinking, data-driven solutions that elevate the quality and consistency of behavioral health services. Mark Santosuosso

His leadership style emphasizes authenticity, compassion, and accountability—values that reflect both his personal and professional commitment to helping others reclaim their lives.
At Amity Behavioral Health Network, Mark oversees day-to-day operations across multiple facilities, ensuring that each location delivers consistent, high-quality care. His strategic vision and operational discipline have helped the organization expand its impact while maintaining its core values. Whether streamlining systems or mentoring staff, Mark remains grounded in his belief that recovery is possible for everyone and that effective treatment begins with understanding.

Ryan Higgins
Ryan Higgins | Chief Financial Officer
Known for a creative and solutions-driven mindset, Ryan was instrumental in launching one of the first 1:1 student and employee technology platforms in partnership with Google. This forward-thinking project not only shaped his approach to cost efficiency and innovation but also solidified his belief in balancing performance with smart budgeting and boasting technology.
A lifelong learner, Ryan studied Computer Science and Educational Administration Leadership, supplemented with ongoing professional development. He thrives on implementing company-wide systems that drive efficiency and empower operational leaders to excel.
His experience in multitudes of areas in this industry, makes him always trying to think outside of the box and connect all departments together, ultimately to aid in improving patient care. Passionate about helping others, Ryan views challenges as opportunities and believes in building environments where people can succeed—fueled by his strong belief: there are only solutions, not problems.

Angela Smith
Angela Smith | Family Liaison
As Executive Assistant at Amity Behavioral Health Network, Angela plays a pivotal role in supporting the executive leadership team. She manages scheduling, correspondence, reporting, and task coordination with precision, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. Drawing on her background in client and family engagement, she brings a unique perspective to executive support—balancing strategic organization with empathy and strong interpersonal skills.
Angela’s commitment extends beyond administrative excellence. She ensures seamless communication across departments, supports legal and compliance-related correspondence, assists in vendor and contract management, and helps maintain the structured systems that allow leadership to focus on growth and patient care. Her ability to anticipate needs, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality makes her an invaluable asset to the organization.
Outside of work, Angela deeply values quality time with her family, attending sporting events and traveling.

Dr. Eric Chaghouri , MD
Dr. Eric Chaghouri , MD | Medical Director
He earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine in 2011. He completed his internship training in 2008 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the remaining three years of residency in general adult psychiatry at the Los Angeles County and University of Southern California Medical Center. He served as the Chief Resident in psychiatric emergency services during his fourth year of residency. He also served as Resident Clinical Instructor and Volunteer Faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the Keck School of Medicine.
After completing residency, Dr. Chaghouri accepted a fellowship position in forensic psychiatry at the prestigious USC Institute of Psychiatry and Law. His scholarly activities included publishing in Legal Digest and presenting research findings at the Keck School of Medicine annual conference. Since completing his forensic psychiatry fellowship, he has established a successful and thriving practice in Southern California, focusing on treatment of co-occurring psychiatric and addictive disorders. He has developed a strong clinical team of practitioners who share similar goals and philosophies regarding psychiatric treatment, including providing cutting-edge interventional treatments for psychiatric conditions. He works in an array of capacities with attorneys, courts, and other parties in actual or potential litigation. He also has extensive experience consulting and providing opinions on psychiatric issues for major television networks. Dr. Chaghouri’s interests include addiction medicine, substance use disorders, forensic psychiatry, medical ethics, psychological autopsy, gender wellness, and evidence-based treatment of psychiatric conditions.

Jennifer Hamilton
Jennifer Hamilton | Clinical Director
multidisciplinary team in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals and
families impacted by substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. With a Master’s
degree in Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University and over a decade of experience in
the addiction and mental health field, Jennifer brings both clinical expertise and strong
leadership to her role.
In her capacity as Clinical Director, Jennifer oversees the development and implementation of
clinical programming, provides supervision and mentorship to therapists, and ensures that all
treatment services uphold the highest standards of care. She is committed to fostering a
collaborative, supportive environment where both staff and clients can thrive.
Jennifer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with advanced specialization in trauma, PTSD,
addiction, and emotional wellness. She holds certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional
Level II (CCTP-II) and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Her integrative, trauma-informed approach helps clients process past experiences, build resilience, and achieve lasting recovery.

Althea Walters, M.A.
Althea Walters | Primary Therapist
degree in Addiction Counseling. She brings a compassionate and client-focused approach to
her work, supporting individuals on their journey to lasting recovery from substance use and co-
occurring mental health disorders.
Currently advancing her expertise through graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health
Counseling, Althea is committed to deepening the connection between mental health and
addiction treatment. Her work is grounded in fostering self-discovery, resilience, and meaningful
support systems, tailoring each treatment plan to meet the unique needs of her clients.
Althea creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their challenges, uncover
their strengths, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life. Her holistic and empowering
approach reflects a deep passion for helping others achieve long-term recovery and overall
well-being.

David Oppenheim
David Oppenheim | Case Management Specialist
—a transformative decision that would shape both his personal life and professional path.
Following his recovery, David pursued his passion for helping others by earning a bachelor’s
degree in human services (Social Work) from Palm Beach State College, where he graduated
with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He is also a Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRRA) in the
state of Florida.
Since 2018, David has specialized in Case Management, bringing a client-centered approach to
his work. He excels in developing and coordinating individualized care plans, connecting
individuals with critical resources, and ensuring they receive compassionate, high-quality
support throughout their recovery journey.
David’s dedication to service, commitment to excellence, and lived experience make him a
trusted and valued member of the Amity Palm Beach team.

Sandra Newberry, RN
Sandra Newberry | Director of Nursing
treatment to her role as Director of Nursing at Amity Behavioral Health Network. Her extensive
clinical background spans psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment programs, detox and
recovery centers, and urgent care settings. Throughout her career, she has earned a strong
reputation for combining clinical expertise with compassionate, patient-centered care.
At Amity, Sandra leads the nursing department with a commitment to evidence-based practices,
patient safety, and a collaborative team environment. She works closely with both medical and
executive leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, effective, and empathetic care. Her
hands-on leadership style and supportive approach empower her nursing team to provide
exceptional service to every patient.
Sandra is deeply committed to fostering an environment where patients and their families feel
supported, respected, and understood. She ensures that care is not only clinically sound but
also deeply personal, with everyone treated with dignity and compassion. Guided by the belief
that everyone deserves the opportunity to lead a healthier, more fulfilling life, Sandra finds
fulfillment in helping patients regain stability, rebuild confidence, and move forward with hope.

Brandon Petroccione
Brandon Petroccione | Program Director
of experience in the substance abuse treatment field. He began his career as a Behavioral
Health Technician and has steadily advanced into key leadership positions, including BHT
Supervisor, Case Manager, Alumni Director, and Program Director at multiple facilities. In
addition, he has held the role of Assistant Executive Director, overseeing the day-to-day
operations of both clients and staff across several treatment centers. Brandon holds a master’s
degree in Patient Care and is deeply committed to providing compassionate, structured, and effective support to individuals on their journey to recovery.
